Language which Never Existed

And it was done like said.
In 1887, after ten years of hard work, the first artificial language has been created. It should be admitted that Zamenhof decided not to invent the wheel, and borrows many things from existing languages. However, the structure of the language was so simple and logical that learning Esperanto is quite possible in few months.
This language has no exceptions, it is easy to form new words, and all the grammar may be structured in 16 rules.
Esperanto dissemination has first been implemented by few enthusiasts. And by 1920 the popularity of Esperanto peaked. Even Soviet Union promoted the study of single language of revolution called “Esperanto”.
But with the fascism advent the eradication of Esperanto has been started. Zamenhof followers violently persecuted. The same situation was observed in USSR. Esperanto revival may be seen in 1950s, but the dominance of U.S. and spread of English stopped the leadership position of Esperanto.
Now one say that the number of persons who speak Esperanto amounted to 1 million. Some supporters of Esperanto teaching their children the language, therefore we can speak about Esperanto informants. Large number of literary works translated and written in that language. Therefore, even despite the fact that Esperanto fails to get the global dominance, Mr Zamenhof may be satisfied on the fate of his invention.
